Lol, yes- I must be getting old. Good advice Clif. Good to see you here again.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Yep, I hear that. Been lightly snowing here lately, and so that's prob why I don't much wanna drive the Box. Must say though, I'm an exhaust freak like Gundo, and so much of the allure of the FX to me is that raspy exhaust note that sounds just like a 350z or G35 at low revs....something my Boxster doesn't have even with my aftermarket sports exhaust. Do look forward to putting that top down agaiby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Very good advice....thx. Yep, I will keep her at least till Spring, to see if that flame is still there when she's running in her element. Right now, it's my wifey and friends here who are convincing me to keep it.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
If you get the whole 03/04 OEM top and frame (not the aftermarket ones), there's no issue with restricted engine access because the OEM frame has 4 bows instead of 3. That 4th bow allows the OEM glass to fold nicely out of the way when you put the top in service position. I also have this OEM 03 top/frame on my 01, and it's the best mod I've done to the car.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Hey, it's technically a crossover!by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Hehe...good for you JM. I actually asked wifey last night if she thinks I should sell the Box because I liked the FX so much, and didn't seem to miss driving the Boxster at all. She told me that it's up to me, but the car's already paid for so why not just keep it as a fun car? I think I may need some of those Permagrin pills, and fast!by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
This has been discussed a lot before. Read this article for the answers: As far as cost, that all depends on how lucky you are in your search for the used top and frame. I got mine in great shape for $700. Some salvage yards charge as much as $2,000 or more. Good luck. If you find one, you won't regret it one bit.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
...in my view settings, I can't see the body of the post? I can only view all the posts in the thread, but don't like that because i don't like to load all the posts and pics at once when I only want to read one post in the thread. Is there a fix? Btw, thanks for all your time on getting this site up Stefan and Pedro.by CarreraLicious - Board suggestions
Hey, happy holidays Ed. Nice avatar! Yeah, I must be getting old. Lol.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Quote986rgt Anymore talk like that and we're taking your computer priveledges away. Next thing you'll be saying is that you like snow, and wish it could 10 degrees and cloudy all year! And what does your son think of this? Huh? I bet he would be pretty upset that you were having these feelings about his car! Just enjoy the SUV for the winter, then enjoy the boxster in the summer with the top dowby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Yep, I'm sure you're right that the feelings will change quite a bit as the warm weather comes back...it's just that that's sooooo long away. Lol. Thing is, however, I was never really interested in driving my wife's Audi or the Cayenne S loaner that my dealer gave me each time I brought my Boxster in. Something about this FX that is just fun...most likely the exhaust note, looks (I never liked tby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
....a little disappointed to be honest. I may be going nuts, but after getting an Infiniti FX35 as a daily driver due to a new job requiring a 25 mile each way commute, I don't miss driving the Boxster at all. The FX feels more powerful off the line (has the same 3.5L 280hp engine as what's in the 350Z), has power everything, heated seats, and feels safer. Believe it or not, the exhaust note evenby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
This happens to my car too, unless I have it set on Auto with the A/C compressor on. Using that climate control setting, the interior cabin stays at a constant heat level.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum

I hate taking flights as much as the next guy, but if his objective is to spend more quality time with his folks, taking the plane is a no-brainer, as he uses up almost the whole vacation week just driving back and forth (even without hitting mule deer and center islands). However, HMMV. ...his mileage may vary.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum

...rent a car from the airport next time if you need a car while there. Much less drama that way (hopefully), and more time to spend with folks. You drive your Pcars enough during your daily commute already, no?by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
