I've driven a 997 Carrera cab (dealership), a 997S Carrera cab (thanks Gundo), a 996GT3 (thanks Moogle), and various 986 and 987 Boxsters, including a Cayman S, and to be honest, I can't tell much of a difference in ride. The 911s felt fine to me ride-wise. What I did notice, however, was there was less noise coming out of the 911s because there was no engine and engine air intake directly behiby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Oh, I wasn't in particular, referring to the fogs in the 986/996...they aren't really annoying to me on or off (although since I have the Litronics, don't feel a need to use them for extra light). I find them annoying on those vehicles that use those fake blue xenon headlights, with matching fake blue xenon fogs that blind you. But, I do agree that they don't really serve well as fogs on the 98by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Mine too. Have had mine on a battery maintainer for 4 months. I'm just going to correct the tire pressure and fire her up.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Here's what I find in response to your listed items: Here in northern NJ, 1) Nope. I can't say I see that happen much. In fact, in NJ, I don't see many pickup trucks, period. Many SUVs though, including mine. Lol. When I do see overloaded vehicles carrying stuff, they don't usually drive wacky. Bus drivers and big rigs do tend to drive faster than they should on the highway, as do women in tiny Tby CarreraLicious - Main Forum

Do you even have a check engine light popping up? Sounds like the dealer is looking to make some money selling you parts you don't need replaced yet.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
I thought the factory used Beru plugs, not Bosch. My old plugs were also 4 pronged as you can see here... Replaced with the same 4 pronged Berus..by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
You said it. Just this past weekend, I had my whole family in the SUV and while driving down the street, a lady in a Jaguar almost hit me head on because she was talking on her cell phone. I had to move to the lane to my right just to avoid her! Really got my blood boiling.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Now that's funny. I think my son has one of those apple computers too. Wasn't pickin on ya btw...just trying to make things easier.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum

Just a tip... You can just cut and paste the link located in the box under "IMG code for forums and message boards", and then it'll post the picture in your post instead of having the reader have to click the link to get to the tinypic site to view what you are talking about. I've been pulled over a few times, and in all cases but one, have always gotten just a warning. The one time I did get a ticket was when I really was going over the speed limit, and for that I don't think my plate choice mattered. IMO, if you are kind and repectful when you get pulled over, they usually treat you nice back.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
My water pump died at 59k miles, and Maurice graciously helped me change my AOS as a precautionary measure at 62k miles, so yeah...for me, it's normal.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum

It's funny...when I first got my Boxster like 8 yrs ago, I parked it anywhere. Home depot, supermarket, hardware store, etc. Heck, I even parked it in front of NYC bars when going out at night. But after I started modding it, and thinking of all the time me and my friends like Maurice, Gundo, JM, et al. put into keeping the car maintained, I treat it like a real special car, and don't like to parby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Search in the old Boxster board...PPBB I posted about that once. Basically, you just loosen the top of the bumper, pull it out slightly and then retighten it. The whistle will go away. That's the technique if you don't want to adjust the hood itself.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Yep, when I drove the car thru the winter in years past, it did maintain pressure. Must be the heat cycling from regular use that keeps it from leaking.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Or at least it seems that way. I haven't driven my Boxster more than once in the past two months, and today I notice the tires are about 5-6 pounds down per tire. When I drove the car everyday, they hardly ever lost air. Ditto with my SUVs tires. I have a tire pressure monitoring system in that car, and since I'm using it as a daily driver during the winter, I haven't lost any tire pressure in thby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
