It's not unheard of to have a pin in a connector become unattached to the plug. It will look fine, but will not connect when plugged in to the mating part. Pull gently on each wire in the plug/socket and serif it pulls out. If it does, you have found a problem. Ed Bby Ed B - Main Forum

Yes, I drove it for two days this last weekend with North Country PCA. We were were the first group NOT to have a incident ! Be careful. I run in the red group, and it was recommended the you take a ride with someone who has driven the track. My first session was with a friend in a GT3 RS. Well worth it. A new track opened this Spring in Palmer Mass. It's as much of a hill climb as a track. Reminds me of the Bathhurst course in Australia if you watch the V8 Super car races. It"s got something for everyone. 2.2 miles, 14 turns some banked, a"corkscrew", up hill esses, The main "straight" is a 100 mph +, right hand sweeper leading to an up hill left and immediate down hill left. Pedro, That would be my guess too. I did pull a P1133 code. Could be converter gaskets. I didn't have new ones when I changed the IMS bearing. Hadn't had a chance to change them.I just ordered some. Ed Bby Ed B - Main Forum

Hi all, The first Cayman GT 4 in the US was shown at the Parade. Had a few options. $104000. Also a Mecan Turbo at $135000. $60000 in options. Charles Navarro ( LN Engineering) did a good presentation on oils. I was second in the early 911 tech quiz. My wife was first in the woman's early 911 tech quiz. Great Parade with some good Porsche roads. Boxster S ,heavily loaded, got 26.8 mpg oveby Ed B - Main Forum

I like my 996 GT 3. It has no "nanny" items like the later Porsches with round head lights, and matches my '00 Boxster S with its "fried egg" headlights. You opinion may vary. Ed Bby Ed B - Main Forum

It takes all types to make up a jury. It is up to the judge and the lawyers to make sure there are no biases or conflicts before a juror is seated. Anther reason for alternates. There are amusing things that happen in the courtroom, too. In one trial, a police witness was Chief Pushee and one of his officers was Officer Bossi. In my county, you are on call for seven weeks, with three selection dates. Three or four juries are selected at one time, so you could get picked for more than one. No one wanted to be on the prison gang murder, but no one had objections on being a juror on the drug sale to an undercover police officer. Maybe because the murder trial was scheduled for six days and the drug sale for one. Ed Bby Ed B - Main Forum
Recently finished my tour of duty with our justice system. I served on two criminal case juries. One case was road rage, the other was sexual assault. These trials were three days each. Very interesting process. My age would have allowed me to "opt out", but it's your duty to serves as a US citizen. A bit stressful, though, knowing that your decision could send some one to prison. I grew up playing with model cars in RI. In high school I was into antique cars and the VMCCA which led to sports cars continued into college. A college friend had air cooled Franklins which led me into VW's and eventually Porsches. In the early 50's I saw my first live Porsche. I made frequent visits to the Lars Anderson Car museum where couple of VMCCA members had a dealership that sold Porschby Ed B - Main Forum

Hi, I'm off jury for a couple of weeks so I've got a little more time. i'm a little surprised to see an ABEC 5 bearing with seals. Seals have rubbing contact which create debris. Not good for a high precision bearing. Grease is made of oil and a thickener, usually a sodium or lithium soap, clay or teflon. Oil is the lubricant, not the thickener. There are some highly refined greases for instrumeby Ed B - Main Forum
Hi, I looked at the Locate Bearings web site. They do not list a NTN 6204 RS ABEC 9 bearing. Neither does the NTN web site. NTN doesn't even list a 204 size bearing in ABEC 9 tolerances. 6204 RS: This would be a sealed ABEC 9 bearing. I'm not aware of any manufacturer making a sealed ABEC 9 bearing. ABEC 9 bearings are typically angular contact and must have a thrust load or be used as a preloadby Ed B - Main Forum

Your shop is correct. They frequently break when you try to remove them. A little corrosion on the pads is enough to keep them from removal without breaking. They aren't expensive. Better to have some on hand. If you check your pads frequently, just zip tie the sensors to the springs. Ed Bby Ed B - Main Forum
No,I didn't have the oil analyzed. There was no reason to. There is enough data on line comparing various oils that indicate that Total and Motul are superior lubricants. Ed Bby Ed B - Main Forum
I have been using Mobil 1 in my Boxster S, 944 Turbo and our Audis for some time. My 2004 GT 3 came with Total when I bought it with 3600 miles When I changed the oil at 10000 miles, the viscosity was noticeably better than Mobil 1 with the same mileage. I'll be changing all my cars to Total Ed B.by Ed B - Main Forum
