I found this leak and I want to confirm it before I dig into it. I think it is coming from the coil pack, but I have never gotten into it, so I am not sure. Sorry for the lighting, but that is the best I got.by IFlyLow - Main Forum
I was digging around today and found this sensor disconnected. My guess is that is part of the auto-leveling Litronics. Is this correct?by IFlyLow - Main Forum
Even if you turned, it would still stay in the can longer than the factory one!by IFlyLow - Main Forum
So, I thought I smarter than the average bear. Turns out I AM the average bear I put a cup of to-go coffee with a lid in my cupholder. Then I proceeded directly onto a cobblestone road. The vibration and the little sipping hole combined for the perfect storm, and created a beautiful, amber fountain all over the windshield, down onto the HVAC panel and even up to the roof! The next week I remby IFlyLow - Main Forum
Thanks, I have a Durametric, and will check it out. Undoubtedly more to follw. BTW, thanks for all the responses. I learn something new every time I log in.by IFlyLow - Main Forum
'01 S. Marc, I have had it for about four months, and am familiar with the way it should drive/sound. This was a sudden change, and when it stalled, it was the first indication of a problem. My comment about the filter being dirty should have said that it looked so old that the foam portion was deteriorating. what I said about the same thing for two minutes was that about 3000, if I tried tby IFlyLow - Main Forum
I drove the car three times today. The first two felt like the symptoms described on here regarding MAF problems. Rough accelerating, really sputtering above 3000. Tonight I took it out again, same thing for two minutes, then it cleared up. It is running smoother and pulling harder all the way to redline than it ever has. I will keep watching, but I think things might be OK. Since the firstby IFlyLow - Main Forum
So, I think I know the answer to this one, but need a little reassurance. I just changed my air filter for the first time. Who knows how long it was in there, because it was filthy. Took it for a drive and it really starts missing/cutting out at about 4000 RPM. it will hold a steady speed, but really protests if I try to accelerate. I think I read on here somewhere that the MAF takes time toby IFlyLow - Main Forum
I'm no expert, but I think it is a normal vibration. I have the same, and some say it can be lessened with new motor mounts. I think it is some sort of harmonic resonance, and I have sort of obsessed about it. I have noticed that it is much more prevalent in 5th and 6th, making me think it is related to the transmission. I haven't looked at a schematic of the tranny, but my guess is that thby IFlyLow - Main Forum
I feel what I think is clutch slippage when I am accelerating through the gears. As I shift into a higher gear (most noticeable in 3rd and 4th) and release the clutch, there is about a second when it feels like the clutch pedal is still pressed slightly. I only notice it when accelerating hard. I will put it on a lift this weekend and let you know what I find. Are there any telltale signs fby IFlyLow - Main Forum
Does any of this sound like a clutch issue? The reason I ask is that I have noticed what may some clutch sliippage during hard acceleration. If so, is there any troubleshooting I should try short of dropping the transmission to check? Actually, I am itching to do that anyway, but I was hoping for warm weather first.by IFlyLow - Main Forum
I have the original motor mount. I looked at it yesterday, had my son rev the engine while I looked for movement. Didn't see any, but that doesn't mean much. I'll put it on the lift this weekend.by IFlyLow - Main Forum
I'll check that. That was my first thought also, but didn't see anything obvious.by IFlyLow - Main Forum
The sound is not related to steering/turning. It is definitely drivetrain-related. When I blip the throttle with the clutch in, no sound, therefore I can rule out water pump, AC compressor, etc. Similarly, transmission in neutral, clutch engaged, no sound. When in gear, and I accelerate, even mildly, I get it pretty consistently. Only during acceleration, not at a steady speed. Also, oncby IFlyLow - Main Forum
I've noticed a new sound which seem to be getting a little worse. It is most prevalent on cold (22F) mornings. It sounds like driver's side, underneath, aft of the door. For lack of a better description, I would say it sounds like a playing card held against a flywheel (but it isn't the flywheel) within the first 5-10 feet leaving the driveway, I hear it for about 2 seconds, and then I hear iby IFlyLow - Main Forum

So, I was hangin' in the right lane when a flat black boxster flew past me. It looked like it was held togather with tape, and I was just commenting on it to my wife, when a second identically taped one flew past. Had I been in mine, instead of my SUV, I would have tried to catch them. The only thing that stood out from the quick glimpse was different tail lights. They looked life aftermarketby IFlyLow - Main Forum

I know what you mean. Mine is daily driver, regardless of weather, but it sure is nice to drive the wife's X5 when it is cold and snowy. Regardless, SUVBoy doesn't have the same ring!by IFlyLow - Main Forum
I had a similar problem this weekend, though not exactly. Same symptoms with the door locks, with the addition of passenger door not opening at all. Took the door panel off and found the cable connector at the inner door handle broken. This may not be your case, but it does point to the door locking/latch mechanismby IFlyLow - Main Forum
The Cayman just didn't fit in with the rest of that article. The article was highlighting cars like Suzuki and Smartcar. Cayman was in a completely different market than anything else they were talking about. They could have put motorhomes on the list just as easily. Anything to raise interest.by IFlyLow - Main Forum
