I bought a set of used seats to replace my dried out and worn original seats. As a bonus, the new-to-me seats have heating elements - woo hoo. I'm referring to Dennis Vogel's excellent instructions and am about ready to run the wiring. I know nothing about automotive electrical, but with the detailed instructions, some patience and some confidence knowing that you all can help get me out of mostby SMILIN - Main Forum
Lately I've had some oil drips on the garage floor which I hope I traced correctly to the #4 spark plug tube. So I ordered a new tube and O-rings and waited for a day with a few free hours...and today was it. Sure enough, I popped out the coil pack and I carelessly flung oil everywhere, confirming that there was an issue with the spark plug tube/O-rings. I easily popped out the old tube - theby SMILIN - Main Forum
IIRC, i had a hard time doing it the way it should be done, so i used a screwdriver to gently pry the clip over the retaining bump.by SMILIN - Main Forum
A few rrrrrrracing Boxsters for ya:by SMILIN - Main Forum
Just a huge Porsche showing. More than I have ever seen in one place. The run groups were overfilled. The car corrals were overfilled. The general parking (dirt hills) alone had more Porsches in one place than I have ever seen. I'll post a few pictures of Boxsters on the track within the next few days.by SMILIN - Main Forum
I'm still around...check in a few times a month just to see who is hanging out. 114k on my baby, and she's looking better than ever with Trygve's "like new" full leather interior recently installed. I'm looking forward to hooking up the seat heaters before it gets below 90 degrees. My son, a toddler when I bought the car, is about to start driving. Can't wait to get him out to an autox with meby SMILIN - Main Forum
long lens and remote camera. the spectators are more insane than the driver. I can't believe the people standing roadside to take a picture then jump out of the way. oh, and, wow, that is a hair raising drive!by SMILIN - Main Forum

i forgot to mention that if shipping is required, i have another potential buyer ahead of you that i should offer the bar to first. i have no idea if he'll still be interested at some point in the future. as for installation, it's straightforward. the first time you install it should take less than an hour if you take your time. i can install or uninstall it in about 15 minutes. one clamp atby SMILIN - Parts for Sale
hi, yes it's still for sale. i have zero free time right now am currently unable to ship it unless you are willing to pay lots to have me drop it off at a MBE and have them do all of the packaging. if you're in the Sacramento area, let me know and we can arrange a local transaction. otherwise, let me know if you want to be notified when i can put some time into less expensive shipping options.by SMILIN - Parts for Sale

Going to go change 3 more plugs right now...started on Saturday afternoon and tore one of the spark plug connector tubes. I discovered that Saturday afternoon is a terrible time to need a Porsche part!by SMILIN - Main Forum
Sorry for the troubles Steve. btw, the smoke in the first photo was burn off AFTER the AOS was fixed. Before it was fixed, I put down a smoke screen across the entire street!by SMILIN - Main Forum

4 OEM 17" wheels from my 1998 Porsche Boxster. $400 + S&H Wheels are true and in good cosmetic condition. All wheels have minor nicks, and one has a paint scuff (visible in the pictures), but have a nice overall glossy finish. Old tires are mounted, but aren't good for anything other than protecting the wheels at this point. Center caps are NOT included. Thanks, Doug boxsterparts devby SMILIN - Parts for Sale

I ain't, for many reasons, really, but the one that's on my mind now is that I had my trip meter prepared for 111.1 miles, at 111,111 miles on the odo, at 11:11am. (I honestly wasn't planning on 11mph though.) A friend and I went to lunch and I totally forgot. Got to the restaurant at 111,117 miles. Oh well, I'll try to pay more attention at 222,222by SMILIN - Main Forum
