A most enjoyable write-up. Your Permagrin really showsby jwdbox - Main Forum
I really like the demarcation line across the dash Eric.by jwdbox - Main Forum

Hi Bill. Here is a regular full size cart bag with all clubs including driver in Silverbox’s trunk. An easy fit. here is the same bag attempting to fit in the 981 My guess is that you could do it by taking the driver and woods out of the bag.by jwdbox - Main Forum
IMHO C&D has always been a cutesy car mag with a heavy dose of full of themselves while R & T used to be a fairly neutral and non-political mag. Unfortunately it seems most of the half dozen or so car mags I get each month now review the same cars and even have the same cars featured on the cover and as lead articles. The best place to get good information is a board like this!by jwdbox - Main Forum
Fantastic. Looks spectacular. Enjoy and try to remember to sleep here and there...by jwdbox - Main Forum
Thats Porsche's final cave-in to people who insist on having the key on the right side of the steering wheel. After inserting the fob on the proper side you touch that for luck...by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario when you pick up your car, would you ask them how to put the top into service position to get at the top of the engine. Gee Guenter, you are already to work on the engine in CURVEN8R II and yours hasn't even arrived yetby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuotePedro (Weston, FL) I'm retraining and starting a new career so there's very little time for anything else right now.Pedro Care to share?by jwdbox - Main Forum
What a beauuuuuuuuuty Matt! Here's to many many Permagrin milesby jwdbox - Main Forum
Exciting times! Have someone snap a picture of that first permagrin tomorrow on seeing the new CURVN8R in personby jwdbox - Main Forum
Thanks for sharing. What a fantastic idea!by jwdbox - Main Forum
Looks like a fun run Guenter- a great mix of friends and P-cars Thanks for posting.by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteLaz n/t Your car is beautiful Laz. Better color and much cleaner image. First (Ektacolor) has a lot of noise IMHO.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Sounds like a delightful and necessary run Guenter . You do know that you don't have to stop to put the top up on CURVEN8R while dodging drops.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Laz, you might want to check with a couple of the other pro-film developing labs . I have used both a local one in Las Vegas and one I think was in Colorado. I always shoot a gray scale as part of my negatives and they have color matched pretty darn well. A nice positive was the inclusion of a disc with digital copies as well as the negatives (as uncut per my preference) so you end up with thby jwdbox - Main Forum
Laz, thanks for the update. However I would be remiss for not expressing concern on your substituting Permagrin for nourishmentby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteMark from SC I was there last night as well - very nice cars. The only thing I didn't really care for on the car was the way the top is when opened. There are big 'gaps' on each side. Just doesn't look 'fit and finished', IMHO. Overall, a great upgrade though. I saw an all blacked-out 2012 S in the parking lot, with the same price tag as the Black S inside. Didn't compare options, butby jwdbox - Main Forum
Thanks for the write up Guenter. Certainly sounds like you and Michelle liked it..perhaps there is a 981 CURVEN8R in the future Curious, when you used the seat ventilation was that just air or was it AC cooled air?by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteLaz I took delivery of the car in late afternoon Thursday. At six, the dealer held a cocktail party for the on-sale event. My car was parked just outside the showroom door, and all of a sudden, a bunch of people were hopping in and out of my car thinking it was a demo. I cheerily moved it away, parked in the adjacent Audi dealer lot, between an R8 and a Ferrari 430, figuring they'd draw theby jwdbox - Main Forum
Yes, clear GT influence and it wears it very well. As for the scores, that is what electronic records are forby jwdbox - Main Forum
Last night our Porsche dealer, Gaudin, in Las Vegas, held their unveiling of the 981. It was a great event with Porsche videos, history and a nice group of Porsches through time. And of course two 981 S with PDKs. Here are a few of the cars present: The venue: The 981s. My impressions were that the 981s are beautifully executed. Interior is a bit more spacious than the 987s. Very impressive Pedro! Can you provide some additional details on how it attaches, what it looks like open, and what about the original roof? Are you considering a version for non-spyder 987s?by jwdbox - Main Forum

QuoteLaz Kodak used to have a back-lit sign on Times Square that featured an actual photo print blow-up from Kodachrome 25. The thing was at least 30 feet wide, and the colors were saturated and the level of detail was amazing. High resolution digital? Phooey. IMHO to a great degree back then photographs were based more on the eye of the photographer, the quality of the equipment and far less toby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteLaz Actually, I'm "quite" happy with the color. As I said, I was awestruck by the color combination and the car overall. Concerning my garage: it's quite rustic, to say the least. None of that high tech tiling or vintage Targa Florio posters on the walls. First order of business would be repaving the beat up 160 foot driveway, but that's not in this year's budget... wonder why? Shaking or noby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario Having seen the 981 at BRBS and from the comments here. I'm wondering if the rear trunk space is in fact the same, just that the shape is different. I'd have to put the two cars side by side, but wondering if the rear fenders/trunk lid are a bit higher than the 987 resulting in a deeper trunk (I thought it looked deeper than mine.) but that the trunk is narrower both fronby jwdbox - Main Forum
Thanks for posting. I had not see that site/search engine. Quite nice.by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteRoger987 Thanks. Hadn't seen it. Sounds as though unless a backseat is a necessity, the Boxster is the one. Backseat? Isn't that why many of us have another carby jwdbox - Main Forum
