You raise a good point. I use a Blackberry Q10, which, like the Bold, is aimed at the QWERTY market and communications needs rather than apps. What earpiece are you using with your Bold?by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
Having just dodged a bullet in the form of a $250 ticket (!) for talking on my cell phone in my car -- I usually check around for The Man first -- I've decided to bite the bullet and get a bluetooth headset for my phone to use in the car. I drive a lot with the top down, does anyone have advice on this? Do I need to go for a big league noise-suppressing one, or should I just get a regular one?by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
He's pretty sure it's just water that got into the carpet when I washed the car that is seeping up. He says dry the carpets out well and see what happens. Thanks to all of you (as usual) for helpful advice, I always appreciate the help I get on this board.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
I don't think the drains are clogged. I'm wondering whether when water got into the car a couple of months ago when I washed it, water might have seeped into the carpet and is just coming up gradually now.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
I went out this morning and found another puddle behind the rear seat despite no rain overnight. Could it be a radiator leak?by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
Oddly, I have found water puddling behind my passenger seat and some newspapers behind there soaked. Obviously, the most likely culprit is a leak in the roof, unless I left a window open a crack, but I have examined the roof carefully on that side and found nothing, including the seam for the rear window. In addition, the inside of the roof is not at all damp. I've soaked up what I can with paby JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
Took my car in this week to have the ac recharged and the mechanic, who I know well and trust, said their is a major leak in one of the condensers, which needs to be replaced, a $600 or so repair, he says, given the removal of the bumper, etc. The other one may also be damanged, he says. My question is this, though. This actually happened, I think, last year, but I didn't fix it. By leaving iby JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
I have had the same question for a while. I put the Momo Monte Carlo on my last car, a 1988 Mustang GT (five liters of tire-shredding, fire-breathing, V-8 Detroit Iron) and really miss it on my 2001 986. I think that unless I trade up to a 964 or earlier, I'm stuck.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
$78,000 is absolutely ridiculous for a watch. Frankly, I think $7,000 or whatever my Rolex costs now is way too much and if I had to replace it, even if I could afford that price, I'd think twice about it. A friend who has his father's old Rolex chronometer turned me on to a site called West Coast Time , which has some pretty nice looking authomatic watches on it. I'd probably think about oneby JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
James Bond, created by Ian Fleming, wore a Rolex, as did Fleming, as stated unquivocally in the books. We associate him with the Sub because that's what Sean Connery wore, but his was borrowed for the movies, Fleming wore, I believe, an Explorer, and that is likely what he had in mind for 007. Nevertheless Rolex was his brand. Later movie versions changed this, but they are not the original Jaby JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
I think that's disappointing. The whole point of buying a Rolex is the movement. Now that they've hit astronomical levels, if I didn't have one and was in the market, I'd probabably consider a Tudor, assuming that I was getting a Rolex movement in a less expensive package. If it's not a Rolex movement, why buy the watch? Because it looks like a Rolex? Doesn't make sense to me and is pretty dby JackintheBoxster - Main Forum

He either repanced or fixed it free and gave me, at my insisence, a jug of coolant just in case, also free. He promised to try to remember to overcharge me next time.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
Apparently was a minor leak in a hose, indy mechanic said don't worry about it, going over to pick up car, no charge from him. Who says Porsche maintenance is expensive?by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
Well, it's too bad. I'm sorry to see the price of Rolexes has become truely astronomical. What do you think of Tudors?by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
I'm almost sympathetic to Rolex on this one. I've traveled in and out of Southeast Asia quite a bit in the last 20 years, home of the counterfeit Rolex Submariner and GMT models. The ones they hawk to tourists on Sukhumvit are obviously worthless, but a Thai friend showed me the fake Submariner he'd bought, with a Tissot movement, from the kind of counterfeiter Thais go to, and paid (at the timby JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
That's interesting. I thought Rolex imposed the same conditions on its authorized service centers as you say Breitling does. I have to say that having a Rolex now that I bought 28 years ago that still works well, it is a good investment for those who want a good mechanical watch.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum

but I think Daniel Craig is as good as Sean Connery -- very similar in some ways in his approach -- and better for now. In my opinion none of the others were any good, although I have a soft spot for George Lazenby. Don't get me started on Roger Moore, Rolex or not.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
I'm not on the board as much as I used to be, but during slow times there used to be a running debate on watches. I don't know if it still rages. In essence the battle was between Rolex and Omega. Rolex had the cachet of being worn by James Bond (until the latest crop of movie versions, including the otherwise superb Daniel Craig), Steve McQueen, Thor Heyerdahl, U.S. special forces and, if youby JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
Got it from the Porsche shop. Put it in, drove over today, we'll see what happens.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
ok, thanks. Am heading over to my shop today and will ask the guy about coolant. He replaced the engine, so I trust him.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
Roger, thanks. I'm going to get some Magic Only for Porsches coolant today and fill it up and then take it into the shop. Fortunately here in D.C. it's pretty cold, so I may have less to worry about than I might in July. On the other hand, distilled water might not be as good an idea as it would other times of the year.by JackintheBoxster - Main Forum
