"Lifetime" coolant is relative to the weakest component. I have replaced coolant at 80k due to a water pump failure and at 90k after the coolant tank proved that recycled milk cartons don't make good high temperature/high pressure containers. I would agree to flush now and consider replacing the tank with the latest revision available. You're not alone, there have been plenty of posts about owby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I just passed 105k on my '99 (did it passing a slow pack of 5 cars on highway 4 near Farmington, CA at ~85mph) I listened closely, but my original IMS and RMS said, "kick it in the ass, giddy-up!" My (car's) seals are 100% reliable.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I strive to be the "Porsche Nut" that you are! Congrats on the new addition to the stable.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
The Porsche site has a nice 911 screen saver where the 911 morphs from the original to the 997 model. Very cool to see the changes throughout the various models. I started with the Boxster screen saver, but the resolution is bad. Check it out: Porsche 911 screen saverby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Quoterortgiesen True enough, bought it with 23K on it, so 104K was my arse in the seat As Arnold says, I'l be back I'll give you six months. I bought my '99 with 23k and I'm at 105k... can't imagine a day without it.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Don't worry Marc. George G organizes the Boxster Brunch up at Alice's Restaurant on Skyline, a good friend, long time PCA member and Boxster lover. We all love your stories of longevity! I have gone from 15k to 7.5k and now to a 5k oil change frequency. My Box is hitting 105k next month, so I'm trying to determine the best viscosity. This will be a pre-winter change would you still consider 15by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum

Irene looks pretty nasty. I've talked to a few friends that are evacuating. Our thoughts and prayers are pulling for a smooth ride.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I wanted to see the '35 Duesenberg SJ Speedster that's featured. It belonged to the Maharajah of India. He had the running lights on the front customized to be red when he was driving and blue when his wife was. Beautiful car!by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
We just celebrated my Mom's 90th last Saturday. My wife & I are taking her to the Giants game on Sunday, (her b-day is 8/27) My sister put together a slide show / 8 mm movie conversion that was wonderful. My Dad passed in '92 so it was great to see him in action again. Pictures are a wonderful way to keep the memories fresh, way to go Perdro's Padre!by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Hey Guenter, that must be a Canadian colloquialism, I'm not sure I get the reference. He is in his early 20's from Dubai. Very smart with a good business sense and a good kid. Unfortunately, he does smoke, but the hookah is a cultural thing.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Hmm, they seem to have adapted Boxster/Cayman side vents in the 911? Looks more like a Cayman.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Yup, he bought it earlier this year and hasn't moved the plates over. He's actually working with a dealer to trade it in on a new Continental Supersports Convertible ISR, can't wait to drive that. 0 - 60 in 3.8 - CGT territoryby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Our daughter is good friends with very wealthy young man and he was generous enough to let us take his car out for the day. The Bentley Continental is such a beautiful car and provides and AMAZING driving experience. We took the car up route 84 up to Skyline for a beautiful and spirited drive. Those familiar with this area understand the "Adult Disneyland" aspect of this drive. This is a large anby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Beautiful shots! I'm sitting at SFO Heading for SEA for a few days of meetings with your MS Dynamics AX 2012 neighbors in Bellevue. ( nice weather optional, but welcome)by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
We had the top down on the way down and most of the way back, but I got way too much sun over the weekend and even with a hat I knew my dermatologist would be scolding me.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Joanie and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary this weekend with a trip down to Avila Beach near San Louis Obispo. We stayed at the Sycamore Springs Resort. Perfect weather, perfect location, perfect weekend. We had a few RV moments, but the worst was a, “gentleman” in a new 911 cab driving 40 miles an hour with 20 cars lined up behind him on Hwy 1. Quite an embarrassment to Porsche owners.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum

I agree with your thoughts on the 993. I love that body style. The Singer car is a brilliant execution of a classic car.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum

asking your priest if you should pray. Keep the Boxster.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I agree, there is the convenience factor with loaners, etc. Going from a dealer to an Indy only works if the Indy is truly qualified. I am fortunate to have a factory trained Indy who is honest as the day is long and the price for replacing my coolant tank and swapping the gear oil WELL exceeded any PCA discount.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
