Call your insurance company, most offer zero deductible chip repair, providing the chip/crack is smaller than a dime and not impacting your visibility, they can be repaired. I had two done over 5 years ago and another one two weeks ago and none of them have spread. Safelite did my most recent repair. All three were done by mobile techs in the parking lot at work. It should be the no cost, first oby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum

I second the Crossfire comment. I came up behind one recently and I thought they were hauling a ladder, then I realized it was the spoiler. It looks more like a garage door.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum

Could it be this article? Road and Track 2013 Cayman Interesting, while it does seem to have the door panel indent camouflage, the side vent don't look like the CGT or MR2-esque type openings the neked 2013 Boxster spy shots haveby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum

That's a great price for one of the best mods I've done on my car. I love my B&M short shifter! (un-biased, non-paid spokesman)by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Parts for Sale

Thanks Laz, the iPhone 3G isn't the best camera, but it beats some crayons and pad of paper.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I was commenting on the relative rarity of the car, not the daily drivabilty, you can bet I'd drive it everyday... and twice on Sunday if I owned it! I have seen and heard it a few times around town, so the guy does drive it. I have to agree with your bias, I'm a fan of my current Ocean Blue, my next Boxster will be Aqua.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Welcome to the club! Yes, Virginia, these cars are reliable! 108k and counting.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I've seen this highly modded monster around town a few times. It's a beautiful Aqua Blue Metallic GT3RS driving next to me in stop & go traffic tonight. Nothing like the sound (and performance) of a race car commuting beside you. Sorry for the crappy cell pic.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum

Thanks Maurice, I had found the canvas R&R DIY on Mike's site, but didn't see the frame/top page you linked to. I will make sure to read through it.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
My ’99 has now gone through plastic window #2 and at 12 yrs / 108k miles, the fabric is showing its age... it never was a Garage Queen. I could buy an OEM or GAHH top and attempt a DIY, but I’ve heard it’s not a project for the average shade tree mechanic, even Pedro has expressed concerns. I started looking at other options and once again, Boxster Spec Racing has provided an opportunity fby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
The stills don't do justice to the damage. I'll try to post the Youtube Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Pe0d3adb4bIby BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario Now what are the chances of two such similar accidents happening in the same country at the same time. It appears they happened 8 minutes apart.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
Quotefrogster - "automatically operated cloth roof does without the twist-and-turn manual attachment of old" twist and turn? really? He must be confusing the Boxster with its oh-so-similar cousin, the VW Beetle. My daughter's Bug has the, "twist and turn" roof release and manual retract.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I have the same problem with my '99. The latch releases, but the hood no longer pops up with enough clearance to access the red release lever. I have to wedge my fingers under the edges to pop that initial inch. I assume there is some spring adjustment, but haven't spent the time to investigate.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario you don't need to know how to drive a Ferrari to own one. ... but it sure helps extend the enjoyment.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
I heard the tail end of a news story about this when I was getting ready for work, but didn't catch the location. That is some expensive scrap metal. Very sad.by BoxsterBob - San Carlos - Main Forum
