Besides Guenter's suggestion of the electronic side of the ignition switch (thanks , BTW) any other possibilities? If I go with that as the issue anyone know the cost of repair? Thanks, Edby Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum
Nope, even if I did this happens when I open the car, not when I close/lock it.by Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum
Once, the remote wouldn't open the car doors. I attributed it to a dying battery - its 16 years old!by Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum
I just noticed that my fog lights are coming on when I open the car door - they stay on for a few minutes and then shut off. Not all the time, but seems to happen after its been sitting for a few days. I haven't the foggiest idea (no pun intended ) what could be causing it to happen. Any ideas as to what the cause could be? TIA, Edby Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum

You looked forward not just to the cars, but the dynamics between Clarkson, May and Hammond. That will never be replicated. This "new" Top Gear will only survive if its audience "likes" the hosts.by Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum

Routine oil & Filter, top off fluids and 17 (?) point inspection. Dealer - $290 Independent - $160. My Indie's have always been recommended by other Porsche People - I'm sure we'd all give Pedro a bigby Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum

that in order to survive Porsche had to expand its market outside of the true sports car niche. It's well known that the company's profits are coming from the other lines of business. I guess we can all look forward to Porsche returning to making tractors to boost its bottom line FWIW, I'd suggest Porsche brand the new offering as a "saloon car" vs a Station wagon - just sounds better to meby Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum

Over the last 2 months I'm getting what seems to be random results when checking my oil. I follow the same protocol each time - let the engine warm up and make sure the car is level. Each time I get +/- 2 bars on the reading from the time before. This morning a got a low level reading with a flashing warning (not a low level "alarm" on the instrument cluster). So I added just shy of a liter, gaby Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum
Not sure if I agree with the comment about "the perfect singing voice" - heard one at the Dealer at its launch and it sounded rather tame to me. My Boxster has a better growl! Edby Ed fromTampa ( formerly Long Island) - Main Forum
