My Volvo is in the shop for the 3rd time for brake failure. Service just called me and told me they can't reproduce it - how would I like to handle it? I told him I had already submitted my papers for the lemon law. He agreed that it was the best thing to do and will fully support me. Also, I can return the loaner tomorrow and leave the old volvo there and remove my stuff out of it. So, tomorrowby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Very nice! I still get stuff from them in the mail - they have a good marketing department.by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
That's one of the reasons I got out of the Porsches to begin with. I'd been hit so many times and it broke my heart each time - especially with the Cayman S. I had to suck up the insurance because the guy that hit me in Birmingham had been hit by someone else. I did get a diminished value check, but at that point, I was so bummed that I decided to say "screw it" and get the volvo - well that turnby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Yeah, not going to get a model that has had repeated IMS issues. Thanks!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Bob - I just realized I replied to John in your thread! Not used to this "new" format It's good to see all of your posts and reconnect. Has Joanne been back since she got her latest Boxster?by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Weird circumstances (as usual). I had traded in the Cayman S after it was badly damaged in an accident in Birmingham. Long story short, I ended up collecting Diminished Value on it, decided to get out of Porsches due to the expense, loss etc.... leased a Volvo C30 which I thought was a great car. A woman ran into me and she didn't have insurance, but because it was a lease, I couldn't collect DV.by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Ha! I love that. I've had to explain that one to a number of people... and they don't believe me. "When will they make the convertible version?"... I tell them that's what the Boxster is, and they say they like the hard top version betterby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
The dealer has not been able to reproduce it. It doesn't happen every time I drive the car. The 2nd time I had it in the shop, they replaced the entire brake system since they couldn't figure out what the problem was. I've not seen anything (after much googling) about this being a known problem, so I don't think this is a "broad issue". I will say, I'm glad my husband was in the car with me thisby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
For the third time, my 2012 Volvo S60 engine has overridden my brakes at a stop light. I've been fortunate to never hit anyone as a result of this problem, but it was close on Saturday. My husband said the Tach went up to 6. I couldn't keep my car from moving forward, so I put it into Park, and once the light turned green, drove home (3 miles only, fortunately). This will be the third attempt fby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
I bet you've already put many miles on your new Boxster. It's so beautiful and inspiring! Best of luck with it, lady!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

Oh, doesn't say the car is certified, "Certified Benz and Beemer" is the name of the company -by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Hey Y'all! Seriously considering a used Boxster I see advertised via Autotrader.com. It's a '99 Ocean Jade at Certified Benz & Beemer and the price is in the $10.5 range. It looks clean and they're in the process of sending me a Carfax. In the meantime, do any of you peeps live anywhere near there and would be willing to give it a check-out for me? I'm jonesing. Thanks in advanceby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
I am just hearing this for the first time. I feel sick I loved Cheeky...by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Was thinking about the codgey old hoot and looked him up. Turns out he died in 2011. Am sick to hear it. I loved the guy. Does anyone have any more info about the peeps that we loved on PPBB? I'm crying thinking about the Codge. He was such a sweetie.I was sad to see his GF, Marilyn, was not included in his obitby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
So sorry Pedroby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Thanks for the email Joanne! Wow, that sounds like a pretty serious accident. I'm so glad you're ok - cars can be replaced - you cannot! If you do go to BRBS, I will as well. I'll probably also end up buying a Boxster or Cayman because this kind of thing is inspiring. I can't wait to hear what new Boxster you will end up with!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
I got one last week too! Tempting...by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
tried to post this under subjects below, but seem to have had a problem! Anyway, it was great to see the pics of BRBS 2012 - brought back a lot of memories, even with the newer venue! I think of you all often. Charley and I are driving a Mini Cooper and Volvo S60, respectively. We both miss our Porches and often talk about doing German deliveries, but can't agree on a 911 vs Boxster vs.Caymanby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope the best for everyone here - a great Christmas and a wonderful new year!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
No, but if you were to google Cooper Carry you could figure out who he is...by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Not sure how the mileage is, though...???by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
that song, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"... I think every single company has adopted it as the theme song for 2011.by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
