It could certainly be a crack on one of the foil connectors which is easily repairable if found. Its could also be a bad component, such as a switch, etc. The problem with not doing the work right next to the car is that the person won't know if it's been repaired until it works on the car. I can usually save 50% of the ones that I see. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
.... like this one which was a flight to anywhere to have breakfast. Gary would call on a Saturday morning and ask, are you hungry? Where do you want to have breakfast? Meet me at the Perry Airport and we'll figure it out. We also travelled together such as a visit to Alaska with our significant others. ... and then there's got to be a million photos from BRBS and many other Porsche gathby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... very sad indeed. One of our very own, one off our founding members, one of my best friends and a great friend to many here, has passed away: Gary Hellman (Gary in SoFl). He had been battling cancer for some time. He fought hard, but in the end, cancer took him. RIP my brother. Happy Mooney'ing and Porsche'ing forever!by Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... I yanked the e-brake handle one last time. The darned thing just snapped like a twig: ... Now it appears that Porsche does not offer this part anymore. So, does anyone here have an extra one in your spare parts bin? Thought I'd ask here first. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

... two switches on the clutch pedal. One is to disengage the cruise control, the other one is the clutch interlock. Did you jumper the wrong one? The one with the plunger is the interlock. Hope this helps, Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

Does not happen on Tip or PDK. They are completely different transmissions with mostly electronic controls rather than manual. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
Broken shift cables are more prevalent in the 987.2 and to a lesser extent 987.1. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
Heater: The driver's seat has (probably) has broken lead inside the seat bottom or at the hinge axis. RadioL: No idea. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
From experience I'll guess that you have a broken transmission cable. 987s are prone to do that. The Porsche replacement part has been beefed-up but you can also opt to go with other aftermarket such as N numeric, etc. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
The first photo is from Friday morning, at the hotel parking in Richmond VA when I got in my car to drive the final leg of our (me & wife) tripe to The Boardwalk Reunion III in Ocean City, NJ this past Saturday. RaggTopp works well! These following pics were on the way to the event already in Southern NJ: Finally, my car made it to the Boardwalk. We got very lucky in Tampa Bay. The expectations were 10-12 feet of storm surge where my daughter lives. She left everything and came over to our house with her husband, her daughter and two cats. To everyone's surprise, Ian veered East before expected and Tampa Bay drained out! Ian took Tampa Bay's water and dumped it into Port Charlotte. In our home, we were perfectly fine. The intermittent brake wear light could be a loose or bad sensor. If he LF has twice the wear as the RF: a) the LF pads are dragging (dirty/damaged pistons not returning home). You should hear the brake dragging when doing 3-5 mph. b) the RF pistons are not working correctly (you would feel the car pull left when you brake hard). ... you're able to get the glass to fold. That's one of four reasons I don't like the aftermarket glass on pre 2003 986s. The other three are higher cost, less visibility and more weight. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
