We live in NE Ohio along I77 and would like to join a caravan passing thru the area Tuesday. We will be participating in Wednesday's events, so will be making the entire trip in one day. Can we hookup with a group going down that day who either passes by us, or whom is meeting in Beckley, WV?by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
re: Convoying We want to tag-along this year; when will you be posting your convoy info on the BRBS site? We live along I77 and would meet you at the Fairlawn, Ohio exit.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)

Quote...can I check the oil temperature with the on-board computer to see if it's safe to turn off the engine after pulling in to a rest stop? Oil *pressure* can be checked using the on-the-dashboard display (left stalk). You can check the engine temp with the right-hand dial that shows that temp.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum

For Guenther and our other provincial cousins: A long time ago I was on a main road (King's Highway?) near North Bay and there was little in the way of traffic as we went North. Have you ever driven Canada's more northern roads where the moose roam? It would seem to me that those roads would put the Diamondback to shame.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
Quote ...since we are not tempted to ever cruise in our cars over the speed limit... I know I'VE made it a rule to (almost) never drive in the triple digits.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum

I've put almost 200-miles already on mine. We took it for a Sunday drive and got ice cream, drove it to work once, and went to dinner twice. Tomorrow it will be unseasonably warm and the car will go to work again. So much fun to drive; so little time.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
Kevin, Glad to see you are still here and that we will be seeing you next month. Bev and I will be coming Tuesday so we can attend the pre-festivity events. Kevinby KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
This topic leads me to the above question. I have a five year old Moll that came with the car. My load tester says the battery is putting out 11.2V. No problems so far, but am wondering is now is the time?by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
The Blue Box came out of storage Sunday and as it was 70-degrees, we went for our first drive. It was great. I had forgotten how much it is to pull away from traffic as if they are standing still, and driving thru curves as if they were not there. Monday I had a work car, but have started DDing my car as of today. It was 80-degrees when I drove home. Whoopee! Barkley, who loves to go for ridesby KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum

Quotegrant Now, N ratings are simply porsche approval. Many things come into play - is the tire submitted, do they pay the fee, etc Grant There is an article on tires in the latest issue of Excellence that describes what goes into tires getting the 'N' rating. It was informative.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum

It looks the same up here. Last year, the Pcar hit the road on March 22nd. This year, who knows.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
Did you get an inspection form with the car? It should have been filled out by the mechanic who did the inspection.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
QuoteMikenOH Agreed, the notion of having a tech start pulling the dash apart to replace a functioning radio is asking for trouble. They did it twice to mine last year to replace defective parts with no problems.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
Quote I wonder what the dealer would do if I showed up and asked them to install the 7 speaker system that the window sticker says is standard on this car ? If you paid for it, you are owed it. And if the window sticker said the car should come with 7-speakers, go get those other three. Your car is a 2013; right? Someone just wrote me that he is getting a 2013 built; I am thinking he meant 20by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
Lee, Although the Summit officially starts Thursday afternoon, there are some really good events scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Think about coming down Tuesday evening so you can attend the pre-events. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your car.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
QuoteWhile fully agreeing that going the prevailing speed limit is the safest course of action in the left lane, it does seem odd that someone can potentially be ticketed for both going too fast (above the posted speed limit) and going too slow (below the prevailing speed) at the same time. Agreed, there is some ambiguity, but we all know why some states have that law, as others have have commenby KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
QuoteI think the Boxster got DFI in MY 2010. I am thinking that since the '09 got the 9A1 engine, it got DFI then, also.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
The site is being updated. We cannot yet register, but we can fill out the Roster, which I have done. Yippee! 78-days and countingby KevinR-MedinaOhio - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
QuoteHow difficult would it be to retrofit a usb/ipod connection? My '09 has the USB and iPod ports in the little compartment on the transmission hump. Have you looked there? QuoteBTW, to anyone contemplating the Bose upgrade, my advice would be to pass. I don't know what the stock speakers sound like, but the Bose system in my car is surprisingly bad- I certainly agree with this statement. Iby KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
