Hi, If I rock back and forth while seated with my back against the seat there is a very noticeable squeak. I tried spraying WD-40 under the seat and the squeak goes away for a few days before coming back. Any tips on how I can get permanently get rid of the squeak short of taking the seat apart and putting it back together? TIA.by boxsterd - Main Forum
I suppose if a watch thread is legal, why not a thread about smart phones. I'm trying to decide between the iphone4 and an android phone such as the Samsung Captivate. I'm with AT&T. They seem very similar, with the main difference being the availability of apps. Does anyone have a preference for either, and why?by boxsterd - Main Forum
You don't drive fast and you still want the S. Hmmm... You could still buy a base and purchase the "S" sticker for $10 and stick it on your trunk.by boxsterd - Main Forum
If you want the most "bang for the buck" I suggest an 01 - 03 BASE 986. I read some bigshot at PCA (North America President?) drives a base 03 986 because he didn't think there was much difference with the S.by boxsterd - Main Forum
It kinda makes sense...I mean unless you hate convertibles, why not buy a Boxster for LESS money?by boxsterd - Main Forum
Hi, None of those urls are working for me. I tried removing the brackets. Can someone please tell me where I can find more information on this topic? Thanks! Actually the main thing I'm interested in are the disadvantages. Any drawbacks?by boxsterd - Main Forum
I'm interested in replacing the OEM top on my '01 with the top with glass rear window introduced in '03. I believe it has been discussed it can be done. Are there any disadvantages? Cost? TIA.by boxsterd - Main Forum
Just out of curiosity have you had to replace the water pump? I replaced mine at about 65k miles and thought it was a bit early. Also what kind of tires are you using?by boxsterd - Main Forum
So apparently someone tried to break into my Boxster. I discover a 1.5" tear on the passenger side convertible top. It's a precise cut, like he used a scalpel or very sharp knife. What are my options in terms of repair? I could probably leave it alone with no harm except it's obviously going to get worse over time so I'd like to fix it, but I would rather not replace the entire top, if possible.by boxsterd - Main Forum
