"turning over" usually refers to the engine rotating. So are you saying that there is no delay before the engine rotates but there is a delay before it actually catches (starts)?by Boxsterra - Main Forum
and the old one remains. Sometimes they stay in even after the drain plug is removed. FWIW, I reused the same washer for about 20 oil changes and never had a leak. I don't think it really is a crush ring as crush rings are usually rounded so that they actually change shape when you tighten the bolt. The factory Porsche one looks just like an aluminum washer and the one I used for 100k miles lookby Boxsterra - Main Forum

The clutch may need to be bled. The shift cables may need to be adjusted. The front motor mount may be worn. There may be play in the shift linkage. Last (and not terribly likely to be the problem) you may need to replace the transmission fluid. If you've had any work done in any of these areas, that its a prime suspect. If you have a K&N short shift kit, it may be "normal"by Boxsterra - Main Forum
If you raise the right rear wheel even a few inches, for example, you get a drastic difference in the reading on the oil sensor.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
is that some people may be interested in an item but not have posted anything. A post with an update suffices to let them know and not make them think they're crazy because something they saw before no longer exists.by Boxsterra - Board suggestions

On each side there is one over the cat and one just forward of the car (surrounding the pipe). I find that if you use a rubber mallet and hit the exhaust pipe, the rattle will usually be apparent. I am wondering though, when you say "rattle", is it a high-pitched metallic rattle (such as with a heat shield - metal on metal) or a mid-to-low pitched sound (such as with a worn control arm bushing -by Boxsterra - Main Forum
1) Get the radio code from the dealer or on the "radio code request" thread on Renntech.org 2) Disconnect the battery for less than 30 seconds 3) You must have had the radio code when the battery died, right?by Boxsterra - Main Forum
is to disconnect the battery, reconnect it, and try the window again. Occasionally, the computer thinks that the window is all of the way up when it is actually all of the way down (or vice-versa). So when you press the switch, nothing happens.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

before installation of the slave cylinder. If you don't getting it in place is a pain and it would be reasonably possible to rupture the rubber boot. It is possible to do without releasing the pressure but it is difficult since you have to wrestle it into place while screwing in a bolt that is difficult to access. Which bolt is missing from the transmission? If it is the lower-left one, it is liby Boxsterra - Main Forum
In order to legally void the warranty Porsche would have to demonstrate a connection between the aftermarket part and the failure. I don't think this would be possible with a magnetic drain plug.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
(from ) For the 12-volt systems, the "contact point," which is the center part of the plug when viewed end-on, carries the positive voltage, whereas the "can" part, which is the outer part of the connector, carries the negative voltage (which is the "ground" connection for most automobiles, which have a negative ground electrical system).by Boxsterra - Main Forum
A magnetic drain plug will do nothing to help your car. Let's put it this way: what do you think it can do that the oil filter doesn't already do? If you're one of those people who buys any product the vendor claims helps you "just in case" then you should definitely get one.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
Double-blind tests with cheapo Radio Shack wires compared to high-end cables (in the thousands of $) listened to by all manners of experts revealed no ability to distinguish. It's a placebo. Really. Some "experts" disagree but when tested they failed.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
If not then I wouldn't bother with a magnetic drain plug. It is a placebo.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
It doesn't sound super likely but it is possible. I would lend more credence to their diagnosis if I knew that they had done some diagnosis. From the way you describe our, it sounds like they're just guessing. There are lots of parts that can wear out. My guess would have been that the sway bar bolts are loose and that the bushing is squeaking. $0 to check and fix. Oh, and no need to remove theby Boxsterra - Main Forum
