QuoteGuenter in Ontario Quotejwdbox I have seen it and fell for it head over heals. Amazing lines- especially on the Coupe with the easily removable single large roof panel. Fit and finish is unlike any prior Corvette (and that is certainly a good thing ). The technology represents a significant leap as well in this C7 series. A really corny tail Gman (sorry, couldn't resist). My guess is that the "inner-earcular" impact of the PSE has permanently caused you to lose any ability to drive directly from A to B.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Lawdevil, sounds like it was a great experience. Thanks for the write-up and details.by jwdbox - Main Forum
As everyone knows with Guenter it is kinda like removing your shoes before entering the house, no car enters his garage with brake dust. CURVEN8R forgot that once, now there is a CURVEN8R2by jwdbox - Main Forum
A real beauty. FWIW I found it surprising in terms of the poor quality of the video- not the pixel quality but the fact that almost all of the shots appear to be taken from a fixed position camera that they kept on a perfectly horizontal line. No creativity nor emotion in the filming to match the beauty and effort of the replica.by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteBruce In Philly (2000 S Boxster, now '09 C2S) http://www.wiesmann.com/en/home Yowzzzaaaa!!! Anyone drive one? Peace Bruce in Philly That reminds me of a car I saw at the Paris Auto show by PGO. I seem to recall they had some initial relationship with Porsche when I talked with them. Here is their web site PGO web siteby jwdbox - Main Forum
One of my first trips in SilverBox was to the Valley of Fire. Left early in the morning to catch the sunrise. Remember feeling that 'this was what it is all about'- the great sound of the PSE bouncing off the canyon walls, the crisp shifting of the factory short throw shifter, the thrill of the power. Then the beauty of my "Moving Sculpture" (Grant Larson's line) reflecting the beauty of natuby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteBobtesa How do you know the PSE is reducing gas mileage? Sure, limiting exhaust can effect engine performance (and hence mileage), but PSE is simply there to provide better sound. Is it backing things up to generate sound? Wouldn't you also then feel a slight lack of performance in power so something? Do the newer cars come with some kind of miles per gallon reading? Is so, I wonder iby jwdbox - Main Forum
She is a stunner Guenter. Super first write up (especially on such little sleep ). Really nice pics as well- must have had the stabilizer on the camera to make up for your hand shake from excitement Enjoy CURVEN8R.2 as I know you and Michele will.by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteSteve (Iowa) I once went to an early morning cars and coffee thing, i think on a sunday near LA. It was a sort of regular gathering in a stripmall parking lot off the 101 out toward thousand oaks. Does anyone know the event I mean, and whether or not it still happens? There is a great one that is only a short drive from LA in Las Vegas every Saturday. Typically several hundred cars showby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario The mechanic said it's up to each individual dealer. This one has decided to put nitrogen to fill tires in all cars it sells. Not to open up another long winded (slight pun intended) thread on the plus/minus of nitrogen, I ran SilverBox from day one on nitrogen (as all of my other cars). The machine your dealer uses is similar to the one my Porsche dealer uses. It cycleby jwdbox - Main Forum
Looking suuuuuuuuper Gman! All ears will be pealed for her inaugural trip Thursday. May you enjoy many Permagrin miles in CURVEN8R.2by jwdbox - Main Forum
Thanks for posting. Very impressive!by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteMikenOH I didn't care for the console at all, nor the gauge pod with the silver background. The crease where the sill piece meets the rear fender seemed odd, while the reduction in rear view via a smaller window and tinted windblocker, combined with a smaller rear trunk, seemed to be a step in the wrong direction. Having said all that, after 8 months of ownership, those issues don't crossby jwdbox - Main Forum
I think they already offer that Gman. However you have to leave NA to take advantage of itby jwdbox - Main Forum
So then there is no truth to the rumor that someone witnessed a 981 being driven off the ship and over the side of the ramp as they were having trouble with the manual transmission. They were heard mumbling something to the effect that they had several thousand cars all with automatics and then there was this one throw back...by jwdbox - Main Forum
I'd be wary of any material put on the windshield. Everyone of the local Porsche group who have tried various professionally applied materials has ended up having it removed. Problems include odd reflections, distortions creeping in as it ages, diminished acuity. It seems that individuals who remain with ClearPlex or similar track their cars and the trade off (i.e., saving the windshield) is wby jwdbox - Main Forum
I have read in several places that you should only add distilled water after the battery is fully charged and warm (from charging).by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteRainyDayGarage Yeah...the quality of the video is actually quite a bit better. They get sub-sampled when posted to YouTube. When we write it up for the FirstUse article, we'll link to a few full-rez versions. Here is the "rotary" video on our server at the full 38MB for the 1-minute clip: FYI...the clip has to completely download before it will play. It can be SLOW!!!! Thanks, the downloby jwdbox - Main Forum
Thanks for posting. It seems to me that the BlackVue would nicely serve for incident/accident documentation purposes but the quality, when viewing yours on YouTube in HD setting, appears to be a lot poorer than I have seen from units such as GoPro.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Spectacular. Super Permagrin Congratulations Guenter!!! Thanks for sharing the background on how you got here and the details on your stunning CURVEN8R2by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario Quotejwdbox SilverBox has found a new owner and will shortly be traveling new roads in a different part of the country. The gentleman who purchased her is a fellow Porsche enthusiast and now a 911 'convert.' I have really enjoyed participating in this board and learned a ton. The best part has been making new friends along the way! Hope you'll stay around these here pby jwdbox - Main Forum

QuoteGuenter in Ontario I believe it was 2009 when Porsche changed the design of the Boxster wheels and exterior mirrors. that makes sense Gman.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Thats interesting. SilverBox also has the 18" Boxster S wheel option (ordered when I ordered the car) but they are not the same wheels as on yours:by jwdbox - Main Forum
It seems like this topic, along with tires and monkey wrenches , draws stong opinions without clear outcomes. I have no experience with jammers (and hence no 2 cents input) but can tell you that my Escort 9500 has performed flawlessly and helped avoid tickets when fellow drivers with units including V1 have not gotten the same early warning FWIW.by jwdbox - Main Forum
